A Prosthodontist is a dental specialist registered with the Australian Dental Board. To achieve this registration, a dentist must successfully complete a three year full time specialist training program at an accredited university and teaching hospital under the teaching of a specialist academy or college. This training, as in Dr Innes’ case, also involves a doctorate degree by research at a university in an area of dentistry that applies to the chosen specialty. This training allows the dentist to then complete dental treatments to a very high level of quality and help patients achieve their individual dental and facial goals.
